Summer Camps

From June to August, we offer fun, themed summer camps that prevents Summer Brain loss, maintain student’s academic edge while fostering a love of learning in and outside the classroom.

SESSION 3: SPORTS ADVENTURE

July 30th – August 17th

Session III is a three-weeks program will end out our adventure series with sports themed adventures. Topics covered will include basketball, baseball and Olympic sports. Each week, we will learn about the history of these sports, some famous players and some fundamentals of each sport. Our field trips will reflect the fun of being active! We will have trips to Allen Pond Park and other local parks daily, attend a Bowie Baysox Minor League Baseball game and end out our summer with a bang with a trip to Six Flags America! *Campers will be asked to pay an additional $25 for the Six Flags ticket*.

Camp; 9:00am – 4:00pm; Before care: 6:30am -9:00am Aftercare: 4:00pm – 6:30pm

Session 4: JUMPSTART Camp

Jumpstart Camp is a 2-week intensive academic boot camp designed to prepare students for the next grade level. The program is available for all grade levels but adapted for elementary students who continue with outdoor activities in the afternoon. Student in Grades 6-11 are exposed to rigorous teaching and practice from 9:30am -3:30pm with an hour lunch. In the morning, students  break out into groups based on their Math level: Grade 1 Math to Algebra and Calculus. In the afternoon session, students select a choice of High school Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Writing.

Daily Schedule (Grades 6-12)

  • Welcome: 9:00am -9:30am
  • Math: 9:30am – 12:00pm
  • Lunch: 12:00 – 1:00pm
  • Science/writing: 1:00 – 2:30pm
  • Collaboration: 2:30pm -3:30pm

* Please note that Elementary school students will go on mini trips daily and a big field trip on Fridays

What to Bring

  • Label items with camper’s  name
  • Water Bottle
  • Bagged lunch
  • Comfortable and appropriate clothes and shoes

Full day campers will not need a lunch on Friday when we go on the field trip. Campers will eat out. In an effort to build a memorable camp experience, we ask that cell phones, music players, e-readers and personal gaming systems be left at home.
