During this two- week session, your camper(s) will virtually explore all 50 states and learn interesting facts about our country, they will learn what life was like as a pirate as well as some pirate history, and end the session learning about royalty from kingdoms around the world. We will venture out of the center to Annapolis’ Chesapeake Pirates attraction, take a dip at Glenn Dale Splash Park, and complete our research at Bowie Library. We will also visit different public parks in the area each day. *Camp will be closed Wednesday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day.
During the second three- week session, your camper(s) will explore the world of superheroes both fictional and real life, they will learn all about our planet and the solar system we live in, and end the session learning about different countries around the world. Our field trips will include visits to a local fire or police station, SkyZone trampoline park, and the National Air and Space Museum. We will also visit different public parks in the area each day.
Session III will end out our adventure series with sports themed adventures. Topics covered will include basketball, baseball and Olympic sports. Each week, we will learn about the history of these sports, some famous players and some fundamentals of each sport. Our field trips will reflect the fun of being active! We will have trips to Allen Pond Park and other local parks daily, attend a Bowie Baysox Minor League Baseball game and end out our summer with a bang with a trip to Six Flags America! *Campers will be asked to pay an additional $25 for the Six Flags ticket*.
Jumpstart Camp is a 2-week intensive academic camp offered in August to prepare for the next school year. The program is appropriate for middle school and high school students who are open to rigorous teaching and practice. Elementary school students are advised to register for S.T.E.A.M camp where they get the learning component in addition to themed fun activities.
JumpStart students are exposed to next grade curriculum in math up to calculus, a selection of grade level science, biology, chemistry, physics, or writing skills.

Your registration covers any administrative fees associated with your enrollment, camp t-shirt and learning materials. Each camper will receive a backpack with Singapore Math Workbook, Wordly Wise Workbook, and composition book. These materials are to be left at the center until the end of the camp session. Camp t-shirts will need to be worn on all field trips for safety reasons. Additional shirts can be purchased for $10 per shirt.
When coming to camp each day, please make sure your child wears comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Please also label all of your child’s items. They will need to bring the following items to camp each day:
In an effort to build a memorable camp experience, we ask that personal gaming devices, tablets, and other electronic devices be left at home. Cell phones will need to be put away during camp activities and will only be allowed out for emergency purposes.
